Home of an untold number of varieties of snappers and groupers, the finicky and celebrated “sport fish,” the roosterfish hangs out in this area along with several varieties of jacks, rainbow runners and sharks. The most productive world class fishing often to be enjoyed when fishing Monster Black and Blue Marlin, schools of Wahoo and giant Yellow fin Tuna, plus huge Pacific Sailfish and Dorado they all congregate to feast in these bait-rich waters.

Inshore Fishing

Inshore fishing can be very good along shorelines and under water volcanic rocky formations and river mouths of the OSA Peninsula. Roosterfish, Cubera snapper, these “freight trains “are deadly on attacks. Fishing live baits in combination with top water techniques are also attracting arm-wrenching strikes. Snook, Pompano, and a variety of spirited Jacks and Snappers are among the many other willing species available. We fish along the coast towards the mouth of the Golfo Dulce and the famous structure in the area the Matapalo Rock, home to good numbers of the before mentioned predators  and other occasional surprises in these shallow waters such as sharks. Punta Burica, the in southernmost tip of Costa Rica at the Panama border offers a great variety of unspoiled fishing spots for us also.

Ofshore Fishing

Offshore volcanic activity has formed pinnacles that rise hundreds of feet out of the ocean floor provides the  most consistently exciting fishing, attracting baitfish that starts the “bigger fish eats littler fish” chain of life. Marlin, sails, tuna, and dolphin fish take advantage of the feeding opportunities here. Phenomenal offshore Fishing is available 12 months a year, with obvious peaks, Generally speaking, from December through April the major bite of migratory species.
