As the afternoon comes to an end you are invited to experience the most romantic and magical time of the day. The sunsets in the high Mountains of the Corcovado National Park creates splashes of the most amazing colors turning the clouds to subjects of excitement and dreams. Sunset is a beautiful time to be on the water. On this tour you will learn about the diversity and history of the area while you are having a great moment paddling and observing the undisturbed surroundings. You will have a chance to swim, eat some tropical fruit and look for some of the marine life such as: Dolphins, Seas Turtles, and Whales. As it gets dark your paddles will create sparks of photoluminescence so whatever moves away from your kayak lights up and looks like fireworks under the waters. Mangrove Kayak Tour
A Mangrove area is a plant community and habitat where tides create changing water levels and river’s fresh water mixes with the oceans saltwater. They are found in tropical and sub-tropical tidal areas and have a high degree of salinity. Areas where mangroves occur include estuaries and marine shorelines. Plants in these areas are diverse, but all are able to exploit their habitat or inter-tidal zone by developing physiological adaptations to overcome the problems of high salinity and frequent tidal inundations. Once established, roots and mangrove plants provide habitat and protection for a great variety of wildlife such as Coatis, Monkeys, Iguanas, Kingfishers, Macaws and more. The best way to explore and enjoy the tranquility of this incredible nature gift is by kayak. Which it´s relatively short size and the very quiet energy mechanism of your arms and shoulders, you get to places and very close encounters with nature that walking or other water vehicles can not match…
The tour starts 2 hours prior to high Tide and last 3 hours. Each single or double kayak is equipped with a dry bag and a waterproof compartment for all your gadgets. All safety precautions are taken including providing a life vest. Your certified guide is both bilingual and well trained.
